I belive that the UN have never been really useful, they are not useful nowadays and will not be useful in future. Let us consider the period of the Cold War. Only USSR and USA ruled the world. Neither the Un nor anybody else could influense on them. The UN just legalized the decisions that had already been made in Moscow and in Washington. The troops that provided "peace" in fact provided the interests of USA or of USSR. To my mind, the UN were not created to solve concrete problems, from the very beginning this organization more hinder the countries than helped them. and what happened after 1991? There is only one superpower in the world - USA. Two wars in the Gulf and other actons of this country clearely showed that the UN had no real possibilities, neiter military nor political, to influense on the events happening in the world. America and its allies neglect a veto of the UN. Nowadays this organization lost its last function, because of which it had existed - the function of legalizing, and turned to an American clien
