I am from Pakistan and have been working as a computer teacher in a university for the past 14 years. Like other developing countries, the majority of us are far behind in the race to use information technology in our children’s education. Most parents keep their children from using the internet in school and early college classes because of a lack of awareness. The late Alpha Karim (computer scientist), Saeed Smile Hassan (Pakistani eGamer) and Rafay Baloch (ethical hacker) are just a few examples. Their parents encouraged their children and did not allow them to use digital media as a source of education. They proactively provided the best service. Therefore, making teachers, parents and students aware of the use of digital technology in the learning process can improve performance and lead to more stellar performances.

From how-to instructional videos to his TED talk videos by experts, YouTube is the most important source of education for Pakistan and the rest of the developing world this time around.

The raw stats about videos being watched on YouTube are amazing. Statistics about educational videos are so healthy that her over 400 million people around the world are trying to form new educational courses. A growing number of free educational channels like thenewboston and theITeducation are giving anyone, anywhere access to a vast collection of videos on almost any educational topic. This is lucky and welcome news for people in developed countries, especially developing countries, because people in developing countries like Pakistan probably did not have enough budget.

Schools and colleges are integrating free video platforms like YouTube into their classrooms. Sessions are created and uploaded to YouTube by content developers or teachers/instructors themselves using webcams and easy-to-learn software. The link will be embedded on the course website for students to watch on demand. These videos can be public or private.

From vocabulary learning to literacy, it motivates students and builds a comprehensive knowledge of ‘learning studies’. Researchers around the world have found that young people are using smartphones, focusing on iPhone and iTouch apps, and contributing widely through iBook Textbook. This has improved my skills in scientific investigation through content development and active and productive learning. It was rightly called “Learning with Technology” and created the excitement of learning with increased self-confidence, pride in one’s abilities, and hope for a bright future.
