2. Queen Elizabeth National Park

The park, named after Queen Elizabeth II, is located in the southwest and covers the entire Casinga Gorge connecting Lake Edward and Kyoga. The park is known to harbor a large number of species, ranging from carnivores, herbivores, antelopes, birds and other small organisms. A game drive in the park usually rewards you with animals such as lions, buffaloes, elephants, Ugandan bucks, bush bucks, stripped jackals, hyenas and plenty of birds. 3. Murchison Falls National Park

The area’s glaciers, waterfalls and lakes make it one of the most beautiful alpine regions in Africa. The mountains have unusual flora and fauna which include elephant, buffalo, giant wild boar, bushbuck, chimpanzee and leopard are present although rare. To travel in the great mountains a minimum of seven days is required for a rewarding trip. However 10 is the best of the number of days sufficient for a trip to the summit (Margherita: 5109 m).
